This course analyses linear dynamic systems with greater mathematical rigour than the undergraduate Systemtheorie course. System theory is an interdisciplinary discipline of engineering sciences. It deals with the mathematical description and calculation of (technical-physical) systems on an abstract level.
This course will cover the following content:

- Continuous and discrete-time state-space representation of dynamic systems
- Linearisation of nonlinear systems
- Homogeneous and non-homogeneous equations
- Laplace and z-transform
- Frequency response of linear, time-invariant systems
- Stability, controllability and observability
- State transformation and realisations
- State feedback controllers and state observers
